Chick-fil-A “Fowl Poles” Return To The Diamond

Chick-fil-A “Fowl Poles” Return To The Diamond

Chick-fil-A and the Richmond Braves have announced a renewed sponsorship agreement that brought the restaurant chain’s popular “Eat Mor Chikin®” Cows to The Diamond in 2007, for the entirety of the 2008 baseball season.

As part of the agreement, both the left and right field foul poles at The Diamond again will feature a renegade cow promoting the message of “Eat Mor Fowl.” The Chick-fil-A “Fowl Poles” debuted at the 2008 season opener on Thursday, April 3, as the Braves faced the Rochester Red Wings.

Throughout the baseball season, the “Fowl Poles” also will serve as targets for Braves players.  When a Brave hits a ball that touches any portion of either pole, including the Cows, Chick-fil-A will award free Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwiches to all fans in attendance for that game.  Fans can redeem their game tickets within seven days of the game date at any of the 13 greater Richmond-area Chick fil-A locations.

“The greater Richmond-area Chick-fil-A franchise Operators are thrilled to continue our relationship with such an outstanding organization as the Braves,” said Jody Wetherill, Chick-fil-A’s Richmond Marketing Director.  “Our restaurants are eager to give away free Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwiches to Braves fans, and we’re eager to feed a lot of fans this season!”

As an additional element of this partnership, the Richmond Braves game at 2 p.m., on Sunday, July 27, versus the Lehigh Valley IronPigs will be designated “Chick-fil-A Day” at The Diamond.  The Chick fil-A “Cows will be on hand for the game, and if the Braves score six or more runs, every fan in attendance will receive Chick-fil-A® Chicken Nuggets (six-count) by presenting their ticket stub at any Richmond-area Chick-fil-A restaurant.  Chick-fil-A also will be celebrating by distributing Chick-fil-A “Cow Fans” to the first 2000 fans admitted into the game.

“The Richmond Braves are proud to partner with Chick-fil-A again for the 2008 season,” said Bruce Baldwin, Richmond Braves General Manager.  “The ‘Eat Mor Fowl’ poles added to the level of excitement at the ballpark last year, and we are happy to welcome the famous Chick-fil-A Cows back to the tradition of Braves Baseball.”
