"Operation Cow Drop"
April 26, 2008
Chick-fil-A’s 1st Annual Operation Cow Drop, which took place on Saturday, April 26, 2008, was a huge success! Over $33,000 was raised to support the efforts of over 30 local non-profit organizations in the Richmond Area. The event was enjoyed by over 2,000 people throughout the day!
Approximately 5,500 “Operation Cow Drop” tickets were sold and $6 from every ticket went back to support the participating non-profit organizations! Blue Star Football sold the most Operation Cow Drop tickets so the organization will receive an additional cash prize of $1,500. Kersey Creek Elementary School will also receive an additional $1,500 in cash because the winner of the Flight for Two from Cirrus Design purchased their ticket from the school. A $500 Chick-fil-A scholarship, to benefit a Hanover County student, was presented to the Hanover Education Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from the tickets sold at the Virginia Center Commons and Virginia Center Marketplace locations will also benefit the Stephen Soehngen Family Relief Fund.
This event has allowed Chick-fil-A to continue its mission of positively impacting the community through a unique family friendly venue! Thank you for your support!
